Founded in 1984, Pagès Group designs and manufactures automated productivity solutions for the packaging and medical sectors. The group is the global leader in the niche market of in-mould labelling (IML), a process that fuses the label and the packaging during moulding.

Led by Yannick Ains since 2016, Pagès Group has 150 employees at its headquarters in Foncine-le-Haut (Jura) and its subsidiaries in the Netherlands, the US and China.

KEY STRENGTHS

A pioneer of IML, the group has a recognised technological lead, driven by the know-how of its engineering department.

A range of high-precision robots (assembly, unloading, inspection, diagnostics, etc.) completes the offering, providing customers with a comprehensive, integrated solution.

With more than 60% of revenue generated from exports, the group has a strong international presence.

RESPONSIBLE APPROACH

Thanks to the mono-material nature of the label and the container, IML ensures recyclable packaging, free of glues, solvents and varnishes. Being lighter, it reduces the carbon footprint from manufacturing and across the entire logistics chain.

The group also develops IML solutions for sustainable materials (cardboard, pulp) and supports its customers in the transition towards “greener” packaging (recycled materials, starch, etc.).

PROJECT

IInnovaFonds invested as majority shareholder upon the exit of the founder and the historical shareholders.

InnovaFonds actively supports the group in meeting growing market demand, along three main areas:

• ORGANIC GROWTH : consolidation of IML positions, international acceleration, diversification into the medical sector and development of the robotics offering
• OPERATIONAL STRENGTHENING : increase in production capacity and structuring of the organisation and the executive committee
• EXTERNAL GROWTH : active “build-up” strategy, completion of two acquisitions (Netherlands and France) to broaden expertise and cover new regions.
