TIC SERVICES FOR TRANSPORT INFRASTRUCTURE

Founded in 1991 and based in Fontaine-lès-Dijon (Burgundy), NextRoad is an independent expert in the diagnosis, assessment and inspection of critical and sustainable mobility infrastructure (roads, engineering structures, etc.), employing 145 people across 15 sites in France.

Its business covers TIC services (Testing, Inspection and Certification), from the manufacture of road diagnostic equipment to AI-driven data analysis.

KEY STRENGTH

NextRoad is a leading player in the diagnosis of critical and sustainable transport infrastructure, in a market with structural needs driven by regulatory and safety requirements.

Operating in a fragmented market, the group is pursuing a build-up strategy launched with the acquisition of Ascode in 2025. Several targets have been identified in France and Spain, in growing markets offering good visibility.

RESPONSIBLE APPROACH

The group contributes to the decarbonisation of infrastructure through preventive maintenance and supports local authorities in improving their environmental performance.

Its CSR approach is built around initiatives promoting recycling, inclusion, diversity as well as workplace safety and quality of life. It relies in particular on continuous training, internal mobility and risk prevention measures.

PROJECT

Innovafonds invested in 2025 as part of an LBO, enabling the exit of the historical shareholders and an increased stake for the CEO, Hervé de Chillaz.

Innovafonds supports the group’s growth strategy along three main axes:

• ORGANIC GROWTH: ramp-up with existing customers, stronger presence among mid-sized local authorities, acceleration in the engineering structures and airport segments
• OPERATIONAL STRENGTHENING: roll-out of best practices across the branch network and continued structuring of the group
• EXTERNAL GROWTH: active build-up strategy, with one acquisition completed and several targets under review
