TECHNICAL TEXTILE MANUFACTURING

The AlMa Group is one of the European leaders in the design and manufacture of technical textiles through lamination/bonding and coating.

Thanks to its mastery of these technologies, the Group, which has nearly 100 employees, develops high-performance laminates and a range of highly technical fabrics intended mainly for major public authorities (firefighters, police, armed forces), but also for the fashion/luxury market.

Led by Laurent Cogez, the Group is based in Saint-Chamond (Loire, France), in Italy (NT Majocchi, acquired in 2022) and in the United States since 2023. AlMa generates more than 80% of its revenue internationally.

KEY STRENGTHS

AlMa holds a leading position in the European market for waterproof-breathable and flame-retardant technical textiles, with a comprehensive and innovative offering, in niche markets driven by growing investment by major European public authorities in security and defence.

The Group also has significant growth potential in the United States (construction of a new industrial site in 2025), and benefits from significant synergies between its various entities.

Its production facilities are efficient and flexible.

RESPONSIBLE APPROACH

At the forefront of CSR, the Group has developed a range of PFAS-free laminated textiles, masters waterless dyeing processes and develops laminates made from recycled materials certified to the Global Recycled Standard.

It holds the Oeko-Tex and Ecolabel labels, as well as ISO 14001 certification.

The approach is led by a dedicated Group CSR Manager.

PROJECT

Innovafonds acquired a stake in June 2024 through an LBO transaction enabling the shareholding structure to be reorganised around the existing management team.

Innovafonds supports the Group’s growth strategy along three main pillars:

  • ORGANIC GROWTH: continued development in the buoyant major public authority markets and accelerated expansion in the United States
  • OPERATIONAL STRENGTHENING: structuring of the organisation and the Executive Committee
  • EXTERNAL GROWTH: a group formed from the combination of Alpex Protection (France) and NT Majocchi (Italy); identification and review of new external growth opportunities.
